The excellent Michigan Radio program “Stateside” this week produced a fantastic piece on “Coldwater Kitchen” and the culinary program that’s spotlighted in the film.
Their story includes a visit to Lakeland Correctional Facility and in-studio interviews with program instructor Chef Jimmy Lee Hill and the movie’s co-director, Mark Kurlyandchik. As “Stateside” puts it: “The documentary offers a lens on modern corrections, and also the power of food in our culture.”
