The “Coldwater Kitchen” crew had an awesome time at the Cultures & Communities Festival earlier this month in Milwaukee. The eight-day event is presented by Milwaukee Film and is notable for its themes of cultural inclusivity — making it a perfect landing spot for “Coldwater.”
We found Milwaukee to be an inviting town, and the screening happened at the Oriental Theatre, an absolutely beautifully restored venue. The post-film convo featured “Coldwater” stars Chef Jimmy Lee Hill and Dink Dawson, along with film team members Mark Kurlyandchik, Desire’ Vincent Levy and Steve Byrne. The talk really got to the heart of what the movie is about.
Cultures & Communities is one of several festivals the film has played this year, including Seattle International Film Festival and DocLands Documentary Film Festival.
